Directors -

Bruce McDonald - B Com, CA, JP

Bruce is a founding Director of the firm and has over twenty-six years experience in the accountancy profession. Bruce commenced his career in 1982 and was a partner in another local practice before establishing Financial Dynamics in 1999. Bruce obtained his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Finance and Systems from the University of NSW in 1990. He is also a Chartered Accountant (CA).  

Frank Taylor - B FA, CA, JP

Frank has been a Director of Financial Dynamics since establishing the firm in 1999 and has many years experience in the accountancy profession. Born in Tamworth, Frank moved to the Shoalhaven in his early childhood and completed his primary and secondary education at Bomaderry. Prior to commencing tertiary education, Frank gained valuable experience working in both the retail and construction Industries as a Manager and an Accountant. Frank obtained his Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of New England in 1989. After spending some time in Canada working in the profession, he joined a local accountancy practice and completed the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) program in 1992.

Frank essentially enjoys outdoor activities. He was President of the Callala District Soccer Club for four years and helped establish the Callala Junior Sailing School, being its first Sailing Master. Currently his weekends are usually spent sailing his yacht in Jervis Bay.  

Darren Wearne - B Com, CA

Darren grew up in the Shoalhaven Region and has been working at Financial Dynamics since 2001. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accountancy and Management at the University of Wollongong. This required a broad range of study in business management and marketing as well as accountancy. After finishing university, Darren moved to Sydney for four years where he worked in a number of small to medium sized accountancy firms. During this period he completed the post graduate professional year program with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, which gave him a solid foundation to assist his clients.

Returning to Nowra to work at Financial Dynamics, Darren quickly progressed to a Client Manager position, assisting his clients in the accountancy and taxation areas of their business. Darren takes great pleasure in assisting businesses from inception by determining the most appropriate structures and business plans for his clients and providing them with information on the essentials such as bookkeeping and employing staff. Darren has a specialisation in the construction and retail industries, however he also has a wide knowledge of most business types.

Darren was Treasurer for both the Nowra Chamber of Commerce Inc and the Shoalhaven Business Chamber Inc. He also served on the executive committee of Nowra Toast Masters Club for several years.

Two of Darren’s hobbies are trail bike riding and scuba diving. He has scuba dived in Jervis Bay and Port Stephens in Australia, and also some exotic locations such as Vanuatu and Hawaii.

Rhonda Grant - B Com, CA

Rhonda joined Financial Dynamics in 2004 as part of a trainee program and obtained her Bachelor of Commerce (Dean’s Scholar with Distinction) at the University of Wollongong. She recently completed the Institute of Chartered Accountants extensive CA program.

As well as dealing directly with clients, Rhonda has an excellent working knowledge of our firm’s strict internal procedures and has been assigned the responsibility of performing the quality assurance reviews of any work we undertake for them.

Rhonda is a keen traveller. She toured around the world with her husband in 2007 and she is hoping to plan more trips  overseas in the future. Rhonda also enjoys spending time with her family and catching up with friends.

TAFE Qualified/Undergraduate Accountants/Accountants -

Melinda George

Mel is another one of our firm's accomplished bookkeepers who work alongside our Client Managers. She is involved in a wide range of accounting services for clients owning small to medium-sized businesses and is proficient with all majoring accounting software.  She is skilled in a number of areas including financial reporting, preparing tax returns and Business Activity Statements. Mel has studied an Advanced Diploma of Accounting at TAFE and has recently enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce course at the University of Wollongong Shoalhaven Campus.

In her spare time Mel enjoys playing tennis and keeping fit.

Joeline Pearsall - B Com

Prior to commencing at Financial Dynamics, Joeline studied a Certificate IV in Accounting and a Certificate III in Office Administration at TAFE. She also gained several years experience in the areas of administration and accounting whilst working for a local business. After moving to Sydney to work in the Finance Department of a publishing company for two years, Joeline returned to the Shoalhaven and joined the team in 2002 as one of our proficient bookkeepers. She has recently graduated from the University of Wollongong Shoalhaven Campus with a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting and minoring in Law).

Joeline enjoys various activities at our beautiful local beaches including all watersports as well as just relaxing. She also enjoys live music, animals, other outdoors activities and socialising with her friends and family.

Adam Tagg  - B Com

Adam was originally selected to participate in our Undergraduate Trainee Program after successfully completing his first semester studying at the University of Wollongong Shoalhaven campus. During his time with our firm he has demonstrated that he has the dedication and skills required to succeed in the accounting profession and has since gone on to graduate from the University with a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting). 

Adam is a cycling enthusiast and also enjoys spending time with his mates.

Bernadette Walker

Bernadette is currently undertaking studies to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce degree and was meticulously selected by our firm from a group of talented young university students to participate in our Undergraduate Trainee Program. At present, Bernadette is working closely with our Client Managers who are assisting in the development of her taxation and accounting skills.

Lindsey Moncur

After leaving school in 2001, Lindsey started her career with Financial Dynamics as a Trainee Receptionist whilst completing a Certificate III in Business Administration at TAFE. She quickly progressed to a senior role and has recently attained a Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management). Lindsey is currently our Office Manager and her time is mainly spent between reception, administration duties, data entry and assisting our Directors and Client Managers in their day to day interaction with clients. She also oversees the daily operating of our workplace to ensure everything runs smoothly and is fully conversant with our office functions and frontline procedures.

Ashley Davis

Our Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, Ashley, is the friendly first point of contact for the callers to our office and assists our clients with their initial queries, concerns and requests for information. A 2005 Year 12 Graduate from Shoalhaven High School, Ashley’s first jobs involved customer service and administration whilst also completing a Diploma in Graphic Design and Advertising.

Jill Nielsen

Jill’s career background has been predominately associated with the areas of banking, accounting and administration. She has completed a number of TAFE courses in relation to customer service skills and has a Certificate III in Communications. She has also undertaken numerous courses relating to bookkeeping and accounting software packages. Jill's role at Financial Dynamics is multi-faceted, however her primary responsibilities include the preparation and lodgement of documentation for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, establishing new companies/trusts/superannuation funds, the administration of our firm’s Banklink system, MYOB payroll, preparing Business Activity Statements and other GST compliance obligations.

Carmen Knight - B Com

Carmen has been employed at Financial Dynamics since its inception in 1999. She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce at Wollongong University in 2000 whilst working at Financial Dynamics as a young and determined undergraduate. She later progressed within the firm to a successful qualified Accountant. At present, Carmen is working in our office on a casual basis having taken time to focus on her growing family.
